I started my college career in the year 2000, which to me sitting here today, sounds like ancient history. Now in the year 2022 and after accumulating a mass conglomeration of college credits from various institutions online and around the country, I am finally and decidedly focused on finishing my Bachelor's Degree in the field of Literature within the Interdisciplinary Studies Program at Central State University.
I was given an assignment that basically forced me to look at my degree plan and figure out which classes I needed to take to achieve my degree. This has been a bit of a mountain in front of me until recently because it meant that all of my transfer credits had to be found and reviewed. This was no small task and I thank the transcript evaluator for her hard work and efforts to work on all of my transfers. Because of her hard work, I was finally able to see what I had to work with and what was still left to be done.
Once it was all laid out in front of me and I filled in the blanks with regards to the classes I still have to take, I could actually see the goal of finishing my degree as attainable. This alone was a wonderful moment for me. I have roughly nine semesters left because I am not taking classes full-time, but nine is amazing! Nine semesters until a goal that I have been unable to reach for all of these years will be realized! I am more excited now about my educational journey and its possibilities than I ever have been before!
